Welcome to Afterthoughts, the Weblog written by moi (zee Jade Walker? I have all your books!). Come to this frequently altered page for commentary on my life, my loves and my intriguing Internet finds or subscribe to the e-mail version.
Back in the day, I was a huge fan of the Atari game "Kaboom." I'd play for hours, moving the revolving joystick back and forth in order to deactivate the falling bombs with water buckets. Thanks to Groovz.com, I can now play this classic game on the Web.

Seth Kihlstadius, a quiet 18-year-old high school student in Two Harbors, Minn., always planned to become a fishing guide after graduation. But when he fell and hit his head at a post-prom party, those future goals were forever lost. He died on May 21.
Kihlstadius's story doesn't end there, though. Because his mother consented to organ donation, five people will have vastly better lives.
"Someone is going to have heart-transplant surgery and wake up with a terrible desire to go bow hunting," his mother Wendy Kihlstadius said.
The Blog of Death honors the recently deceased with links to obituaries of the famous, infamous and interesting unknowns. People may die, but on the Web, their legacy lives on.

A fierce and loyal follower of Poe and the other gothic authors, you LOVE to instill a sense of revulsion and somewhat fear in your readers. You love to poke their brains with logic dealing with the darker side of the human mind and character. A truly surprising individual.

Joe Mozingo, a reporter for The Miami Herald, has written one of the most horrifying stories about Haiti I've ever read. The pictures that accompany the article provide a glimpse at the women (and children) who've been repeatedly violated by evil.
The General Accounting Office, an investigative arm of Congress, says the Bush administration violated federal law by producing TV news segments that portrayed the new Medicare law as a boon to elderly Americans. The GAO said the videos, were a form of "covert propaganda" because the government was not identified as the source of the materials.
