"The incumbent is responsible for work involving program organization and the operational integrity of providing orthotic/prosthetic services. This includes the design, fabrication and fitting of orthotic and prosthetic devices. He/she works with physicians and other team members to evaluate a patients potential for independent mobility and to facilitate maximum capacity in very complex and unusual situations. Fabricates state-of-the-art orthotic-prosthetic devices using experimental materials and innovative techniques. The incumbent instructs patients in wear and maintenance of orthotic/prosthetic devices in order to achieve the desired benefit, and to maximize the function and lifetime of the device...Salary range: $56,896-$73,968."
