Provide expert testimony in courts of law; provide pretrial conferences to district attorneys and defense lawyers. Maintain, operate and repair sophisticated analytical instrumentation. Maintain professional qualifications through ongoing training and professional memberships. Maintain chain of custody and evidence integrity. Independently analyze evidence to identify controlled substances present using scientific testing procedures. Performs analyses of chemicals seized in clandestine laboratories to determine method of manufacture and products produced. Identifies adulterants, poisons and discrepancies in product formulations regarding product-tampering cases...Salary: $40,321 to $49,294."
