Police Cadets
"The City of Livermore is currently recruiting for two part-time Police Cadet positions scheduled to work 20 hours a week. The Police Cadet program is designed to allow high school and college students the opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement by participating in multiple facets of police department operations. (Must be at least 17 years of age to be eligible for this position.) Under supervision, Police Cadets assist police personnel in a variety of operations and services of the Police Department in order to gain practical knowledge of law enforcement...The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities and characteristics: Effective written and verbal communication skills; promote favorable relations between the Livermore Police Department and citizens of the community; Thrive in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate a proactive and helpful service attitude; Maintain a high standard of integrity and work ethic."
