"Stagebridge seeks a highly experienced (10+ years) and accomplished theatre director/teacher and administrator. The candidate must be able to work with both sides of the brain. The individual will work in downtown Oakland offices as part of Stagebridge's team. A good portion of the job is spent off-site at community trainings, schools and senior facilities. Knowledge of the East Bay a plus. The most important quality after theatre experience is the candidate's desire and track record for getting people with little theatrical experience to be more confident, skilled and excited about acting. Experience working with older adults (60+) is a big plus. This individual must have professional experience as a director, teacher and administrator; worked in community settings with amateurs as well as experienced actors; worked with a variety of age groups (from children to older adults); in a variety of community settings (from schools to community centers to churches to colleges)...The position will begin at 50% (20 hours) and move to full-time (40 hours). The full-time equivalent salary ranges from $41,000 to $44,000 plus $5,700 in health and retirement benefits ($46,700 to $49,700). These include health insurance (Kaiser HMO), a retirement plan, a cafeteria plan for tax sheltering childcare and unreimbursed medical costs and generous holidays."
