"Supervised by the Respiratory Therapy Manager, the Oxygen Tank Assistant will be responsible for the stocking of oxygen tanks on all nursing and critical care areas. This requires the ability to be able to lift approximately 16 lbs. per tank. This position also involves making numerous trips pushing an oxygen cart throughout the hospital and back to the dock in order to pick up full tanks and return empty tanks. The Oxygen Tank Assistant must be able to keep an accurate count of oxygen inventory as well as complete the necessary inventory paperwork to assure accurate billing of medical gases. This individual must be reliable and conscientious due to the nature of transporting and handling a medical gas throughout the hospital."
