"Under supervision, performs the cage washing and daily husbandry tasks required to keep the animals housed in the Biological Resources Unit (BRU) healthy and the BRU within regulatory compliance. May be required to drive the research truck to transport supplies, equipment and/or animals to and from CCF facilities. May assist principal investigators and veterinarians with special functions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of biology, animal husbandry and/or animal technology required. Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions. At least one year of experience as an Animal Husbandry Technician II, AALAS certification or demonstrated equivalent experience in the custodial care of animals."
