"Laura's House, a non-profit organization, prevents and reduces the incidence of domestic violence and family violence through shelter and support programs, education and outreach...The Shelter Advocate ensures the safety and security of shelter residents during evening and weekend hours. The primary accountabilities of this position are to provide crisis intervention, information and referrals to individuals calling the 24-hour hotline, complete telephone intakes for individuals seeking access to the Emergency Shelter, provide access to Safety Net to eligible callers and respond to client needs during evening and weekend hours."
