"Volt Life Sciences currently seeks an experienced Biologist to fulfill a 12-month contract with a leading pharmaceutical company. The selected candidate will be responsible for the execution of immunoassays for the detection of specific analytes from biological matrices (rat, mouse, primate). Day-to-day tasks will include: 1. organization of samples and performing appropriate dilutions; 2. preparation of necessary reagents/buffers; 3. establishment of standard curve and quality control samples (follow written protocol); 4. execution of immunoassay method (follow written protocol); 5. monitor performance of robot, communicate problems; 6. technical preparation/run pre-established maintenance protocols for robotics; 7. calculate data with immunoassay software; 8. evaluate assay acceptance based on prospectively defined performance criteria; 9. organize/summarize data in excel calculate basic statistics (means, std dev., etc); 10. responsible for paperwork/documentation/notebooks; 11. schedule/secure time on robotics via online system; 12. participate in training to be provided on use of robotic and immunoassay data reduction software...Competitive compensation and benefits."
