Marriage Educator
"The Marriage Educator is responsible for delivering Healthy Marriage educational workshops geared to unwed and new parents in Central and East Contra Costa County, with a focus on African-American and Hispanic couples in Pittsburg, BayPoint, Antioch and Concord. The main objective of the workshops is to increase the likelihood that clients from the target populations will form and sustain healthy marriages. The position is supervised by PPSCC's Healthy Marriage Coordinator...Qualifications: Must have experience teaching or providing other direct services to African-American or Latino adults or teens. Must have experience directly delivering educational content to adults in a classroom setting. Must be excellent communicator, with the ability to motivate and inspire students/clients. Experience teaching communication, conflict-resolution, problem solving and/or empathy-building skills a plus. Must be able to pass a criminal record clearance, including fingerprinting. A copy of a physical examination, including current TB clearance is required if hired."
