Botany Assistants

"Finding Species is looking for three photography and/or botany assistants to work on an exciting science and conservation project. The work includes assisting with the photography of live plant specimens, both outdoors and indoors in a studio lab. Part of the work will also include locating and in some cases collecting plants. Assistants will receive hands-on training from the organization's photographers and botanists. Most of the photography will occur in locations around Takoma Park/Sligo Creek/Silver Spring area of Maryland. Travel to other local areas may be required. The job offers the opportunity to learn photographic skills and to learn about native plants...As we are a not for profit, charitable organization, we can offer a modest stipend or salary, depending on each candidate’s level of experience."
