Gang Interventions Counselor

Westhab Inc., a major Westchester-based non-profit agency, has an immediate opening for a Gang Intervention Counselor to work in collaboration with the Yonkers Police Department and other service agencies to provide safe and appropriate alternatives to young adults exiting gangs. 'Project Ceasefire' will offer young adults who want to leave gangs a variety of safe options including education, job training and placement and possible relocation. Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of social services experience preferably with gangs, ex-offenders or adjudicated youth. Experience working with law enforcement preferred. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Must agree to be on call 24/7...Compensation: High $40s."
