Reading Tutors
"Perspectives Charter School in the South Loop is looking for part-time reading tutors to begin working on August 6, 2007. Perspectives is a public school (grades 6-12) with a diverse student body. Our mission is to provide students with a rigorous and relevant education that will prepare them for a life in a changing and competitive world. The curriculum is a college prep curriculum that encourages students to graduate and go to college. Over 90% of our students graduate on time and attend college. Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a must. A bachelor's degree (or higher) is a must. The position is part-time (approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday Thursday, and Friday) for the whole school year. Tutors will be paid $15 to $18/hour."
