Poster Poster

"We are a multilingual education non-profit organization, and we publicize our language activities by postering around our locations in Davis Square and Belmont Center. We are currently looking for additional coverage of Cambridge, Somerville, Belmont, Arlington, Waltham, Watertown, Medford, Concord, Lexington and Newton. This is a part-time position requiring about 5 to 10 hours of work per month. The postering person must have access to a car, because s/he needs to pick up large batches of posters from our Belmont Center office once or twice a month, and poster in several neighborhoods. S/he would send in a weekly report of how many posters were posted in which neighborhoods. While this position is somewhat flexible and can be done on an individual's schedule, it is important that the person work somewhat around the advertised dates on each month's posters. It is also important to have availability to poster during weekday business hours or Saturday business hours, when the majority of businesses are open. We are seeking a reliable, friendly, conscientious person to hang up posters for our small non-profit organization. This is a position that needs to be done year-round in both cold and warm weather, so active, outdoorsy types ("through sleet and snow...") are encouraged to apply. S/he needs to be personable, professional and outgoing enough to approach business owners and ask for permission to poster in different places. The pay rate is 75 cents per poster, including travel expenses. One can generally hang 20 to 40 posters an hour, depending on the neighborhood, totaling $15 to $30 an hour (minus travel time and expense). The goal is to hang up 200 posters per month."
