Canoe Instructors

canoe.jpg"Positions now available for fall 2007! When: Late August to September. 1 to 5 day programs, often with consecutive program scheduling. Where: Delaware and Lackawaxen Rivers, near Port. Jervis, N.Y., and Hawley, Pa. These locations are approximately 70 miles northwest of New York City and 2 hours south of Albany...Certification Requirements: CPR. Wilderness First Responder or higher. American Canoe Association Moving Water instructor or higher. Wildrivers may be able to provide this training/certification to qualified and interested applicants. Leadership Skills Requirement: nMust have experience facilitating group initiatives, low ropes and 'new games' OR, working with youth experientially to provide naturalist and conservation studies. Must be comfortable canoeing in class II or higher whitewater. Kayak and rafting skills a plus....VERY COMPETITIVE PAY: Minimum Per Diem Rate: $125, plus gas expenses traveling to and from program locations. Up to $200/day depending on certification levels, experience and leadership responsibilities."
