"Supervise the operation of a Tobacco Helpline aimed at assisting people who are incarcerated. Provide tobacco education and cessation counseling over the phone. Supervising the day-to-day operations of the Tobacco helpline. Responsible for hiring, scheduling and supervising volunteers and/or staff. Track daily activities such as number of phone calls, (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) NRT's, educational materials, etc. Develop mechanisms to keep track of information and materials that are disseminated via tobacco education/cessation hotline. Monitor volunteers to ensure that they deliver information accurately and materials quickly. Attend some selected meetings/trainings that will enhance the provision of hotline services. Responsible for scheduling/conducting trainings that may benefit the hotline and its volunteers. Conduct outreach to prisons throughout NYS correctional facilities to ensure that inmates in NYS prisons have access to our hotline. Responsible for the portion of the monthly report that addresses services provided via the hotline.
