Lego Robotics Coach
"P.S. 58 is seeking an assistant coach to work with fourth and fifth grader on a FIRST Lego League robotics team. We are located conveniently across the street from the Carroll Street subway stop on the F/G line in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn. The assistant coach will work with the head coach two days a week as well several Saturdays during competition dates. (December 8th and January 26th, 2008). Responsibilities include: 1) Supervising 12 children in the computer lab as well as designing, constructing and programming NXT Robotics Kits using Lego Mindstorms for NXT. (Coach does not need to be familiar with the program but should be willing to learn). 2) Commitment to work with the team every Monday and Wednesday afternoon from 3p.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the fall season (Ends on January 30th, 2008). 3) Collaborate with parent volunteers who help to work during the program."
