"The Long Beach, Calif., office is seeking a degreed geologist, entry-level. Will perform a variety of routines to moderate tasks which provide familiarity and experience with technical staff, methods, practices and programs. Assigned work will be environmental in nature with an emphasis on investigation and remediation work, such as site assessments; sample collection; data evaluation and presentation; remediation system performance monitoring; regulatory permitting; regulatory reporting; and other similar tasks. Specific responsibilities include: Gathering, compiling and sometimes analyzing project-specific data for more senior personnel; participating in and preparing materials for project meetings and coordinating work flow; field sampling of soil, groundwater, air, surface water, or sediments; may supervise or direct the work of junior staff or subcontractors; may have budget tracking and proposal responsibilities; will perform other related duties as assigned by senior personnel."
