"Westat is seeking individuals for work based in the Washington, DC area. Individuals will conduct medical record abstraction; visual reviewing and editing; record consolidation; and medical coding of cancer cases in support of multiple cancer-related research projects. Knowledge of COC, NAACCR, NCI SEER and NPCR standards and experience with central cancer registry operations are preferred. CTR certification or documented CTR-eligibility and cancer registry experience are essential. Other requirements include a strong working knowledge of human anatomy, histology and cancer staging and treatment. Computer skills and proficiency in written and verbal communication are necessary. Individuals must be detail-oriented, comfortable in a research setting, dependable and able to work independently. Full- and part-time positions are available."
