"This position is responsible and involved in the in-depth inspection of current and potential properties for the Springfield Housing Authority's Section 8 program. Pertinent duties involve, but are not limited to, ensuring units inspected are in compliance with HUDs Housing Quality Standards, Springfield Housing Authority policies, procedures and state and local guidelines. Building code and ordinance knowledge; typing of at least 30 to 40 wpm; knowledge of Microsoft Word and various other software applications; must have a working knowledge of health, safety, sanitation, Springfield City Housing Codes and energy conservation; will have public contact with individuals from diverse economic, ethnic, age and racial backgrounds."
