"Hoosier Energy, the rural electric generation and transmission cooperative in southern Indiana, has an opening for an Environmental Specialist at its Bloomington headquarters. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating and implementing various projects to support corporate environmental policies, programs, goals and strategic initiatives; provide technical support to corporate and plant personnel and member systems to ensure cost effective, reliable operations in compliance with applicable environmental regulations and provide direction on routine environmental compliance activities performed by plant personnel consultants and contractors. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in environmental science, or its equivalent in any of the associated disciplines. This position requires at least six years of experience in an environmental field with at least half of this experience in the fossil fuel fired electric utility industry. A relevant master's degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience. Experience in air compliance issues (Title V, CEMS, CAIR, CAMR, etc) a plus."
