"The Riverside School is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher with a concentration in Math. The responsibilities of the Special Education Teacher include but are not limited to: planning the curriculum and preparing lessons and other instructional materials to meet the individual needs of the students, considering state and school requirements, physical, emotional and educational levels of development. Teach one or more subjects to students in the program schools. Works with students to increase motivation, provide consistent reinforcement to learning, continuous assessment level of functioning and continuous feedback to students for all learning activities...Interested candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Special Education preferrably with some Science background. Familiarity with IEP's, Behavior Management and Mass Curriculum Frameworks is a plus. Experience with emotionally disturbed youth preferred. Superior interpersonal skills, ability to function in a team atmosphere and excellent communication skills. The position is year-round. The schedule runs Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m."
