Amy's Bread not only creates great bread, but a great working environment where you can learn about all aspects of bread baking in an organized and systematic manner. Join our Night Owl team working full-time (five nights) 9 p.m. to 5a.m. You will be trained to bake in our deck oven and rack oven -- learning about when the bread is proofed, how to score the bread before baking and baking to a beautiful deep brown color. Experienced bakers will have the opportunity to mix, shape and bake baguettes and rustic organic breads as well. The night baker is also responsible for packing bread for our wholesale customers and retail stores, writing bags for the next day's packing and troubleshooting problems that occur during the night shift...The ideal night baker appreciates the artistic and sensual pleasures of bread, is very organized and detail oriented, works well as part of a team, has excellent judgment, good problem solving skills and good command of English. Previous baking or professional kitchen experience and culinary training are preferred."
