Candlemaker
"This job is responsible for supporting the day-to-day needs of the production of gift baskets, box sets and other related consumer products for The Yankee Candle Company, Inc. The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine duties which involve a number of manual and automated operations, work in a team environment at a table with others to help assemble quality products in a timely manner. Prior experience constructing crafts by hand and utilizing hand and electric tools, with skill, patience and speed is preferred. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent experience. Safety Awareness and thorough knowledge of proper lifting procedures; with the ability to stand for up to 8 hours as well as exert physical effort for weights up to 40 lbs. Solid communication skills; with the ability to follow both written procedures and oral direction. Strong attention to detail; good hand/eye coordination; and excellent accuracy are critical. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment essential. Flexibility in work schedule is also required for possible overtime, work on holidays, weekends and extended hours with minimal notice and as required by operational need.
