"The New York Restoration Project (NYRP) is a nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing and developing under-resourced parks, community gardens and open space throughout New York City through neighborhood beautification, cleaning and greening within and outside the boundaries of the parks and gardens we maintain. NYRP works with volunteers in densely populated and economically disadvantaged neighborhoods citywide bringing resources necessary to develop and maintain public parks and community gardens as vital centers of neighborhood life. New York Restoration Project's Assistant Gardener is responsible for assisting with the implementation and maintenance of native restoration and ornamental gardening projects in public parkland, in NYRP owned community gardens and participating in tree planting projects throughout New York City."
