Our work involves passion and unity of purpose toward offering shelter, a 24-hour crisis line, support and advocacy to battered and/or sexually assaulted women and their children. We also actively challenge the systems that serve to maintain power and control over women and children and, therefore, we do not look to those systems for validation of our work. We are looking for an energetic woman who is not afraid to mop the floor, sit with a woman through a pelvic exam, assist with safety planning or advocate to a police officer, sometimes all in the same day. Our unique work requires everyone's best thinking, empathy and determination. You will be challenged and supported to act effectively on behalf of raped, sexually assaulted and battered women...Salary: $33,500+."

Pole Dance Fitness Instructor

We are currently looking for two Satellite/Data Wiring Installers for our local services team. The Installer will be responsible for performing installations, surveys and service calls for commercial and residential customers throughout the greater Bay Area. Insect Discovery Lab Education Specialist

Generates, coordinates and expands new client base for the program. The position requires an energetic, self-motivated and organized individual who has a professional interest in linking live hands-on learning with the conservation of biodiversity. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in education, biological sciences from an accredited college or university is preferred. Public speaking experience and ability to communicate animal/conservation facts in a lively, entertaining manner to a diverse audience (i.e. age, race, culture). Good overall knowledge of natural history of invertebrates strongly preferred. Capable of being trained to handle live program animals. Strong oral and written communication skills required with an ability to work well with staff and volunteers. Valid CA driver's license with proven safe driving record. Travel around the Bay Area required, must have vehicle for this position. Ideally the candidate resides in San Francisco...Compensation: Part-time: 12+ hours a week. Salary is $12.50/hour to start."

IMAX Theater Console Operator

"The IMAX Theater Console Operator's primary responsibilities are to operate and be proficient with the IMAX Media Control console and Spice Media Automation system, to monitor sound and image quality throughout the run of a film and to work collaboratively with other IMAX staff to maintain the highest quality in The Tech's Hackworth IMAX Dome Theater. This is a part-time, non-exempt position that reports to the IMAX Theater Manager. Responsibilities: Enthusiastically meet the educational and entertainment needs of the museum guests. Work with the IMAX team to present the best possible presentation and film experience. Monitor and maintain show quality during the entire duration of the film. Learn and become proficient at the Spice Media Automation system software and help code presentations. Explain the ideas and concepts of IMAX technology to museum guests in an enthusiastic fashion. Competently and efficiently operate the theater's Media Control system in all situations...Salary: $10 to $12/hour."

Cruise Photographer

cruise.jpg"The Cruise Photographer is responsible for photographing Hornblower guests attending public cruises in the Bay Area. Photography services include taking pictures of guests during the pre-boarding process, photographing 'Package A' weddings, and assisting with the boarding process. In addition, the Cruise Photographer works with the event staff to distribute photographs to guest tables during the cruise. Finally, the Cruise Photographer sells the images to guests as souvenirs of the Hornblower experience. Secondary responsibilities may arise, such as assisting Wedding & Event Photographers on some cruises."

The counselor may also be responsible for counseling clients at risk of foreclosure to assess their financial options for preventing foreclosure. The position will work closely with the Mayor's Office of Housing, financial institutions, real estate professionals and other industry partners. The position also works closely with the Homeownership Program team to coordinate activities and to remain current on developments in the real estate industry. Assistant Sculptors

"The Museum of Sex is seeking Assistant Sculptors starting immediately. Assistants will work with a professional sculptor to create life-size sculptures of animals for an upcoming exhibit on animal sexual behavior. The project entails assisting the lead sculptor in creating models of animals in mating positions to serve as educational diagrammatic tools as well as visually stunning artistic pieces. Qualified candidate should know MIG welding and have knowledge of figurative sculpting. Assistants must be available for a minimum of 20 hours/week starting immediately and through July 2008."
